I like the idea behind this very much - I've always been curious as to how that exactly works with translations and such (even if it was just the writers having an excuse to always use English). I also like that you distanced Teyla from the Athosians - she does seem to be truly alone in some respects, no longer fully of her people in purpose, yet not one with the 'Lanteans' either. And Ronon's companionship can only go so far. *g* I don't agree entirely with your characterisation of Teyla, but I still enjoyed this a great deal. One of the joys fo reading for me is that difference of perspective.

It's also good to see a less common pairing - it brings in new dynamics and elements. I am curious on one point, though - why did you choose German as your English substitute?
