Ooo. Castle in the Attic was a good book. Half-Magic was, of course, my favorite Eager, and one of my favorite books, period, but Knight's Castle was my second-favorite. And the kids in KC are the children of the kids in HM; I absolutely loved that connection, and all the various interconnections in the book. (And you've read Nesbit, right? Eager makes all those references to her stuff - that's how I found her.)
But you should totally read KC if you get a chance.
Although it's sort of weird; your story made me see slash potential in KC (between secondary characters, obviously, not the main kids), and now that I've thought of it, it's *everywhere* in there.
