I've never read HDM but now I want to! Your SGA characterizations are spot on and I loved the daemons. John not having a bird of prey is perfect and Rodney's mouse was lovely. I especially enjoyd the beginning, trying to figure out what their daemons from the sparse descriptions. You made this world completely believable. Great work!
