Hi. I really really enjoyed this. I've been avoiding reading it for a couple of weeks now because I really didn't think it would work, but it did and I just had to say...well done? Yeah, well done. You write good story. The whole mouse-as-Rodney's-daemon thing threw me for a while, but then I read this:

Tyk scampers down and positions herself on his chest--inadequate protection, but it’s nice of her to try.

and everything settled into place. Possibly not how you saw the choice you made, but it made sense to me that Rodney would have something practically defenceless but still hard to get hold of. Anyway, thank you. And, uh...well done. *waves*
