I think I would just about sell my soul for a proper SGA musical at this point. Yup. Or what's left of it, anyway. *eg*
Outside the crackest circumstances, I hate Shep!Whore, too. What the heck is it supposed to be based on? I mean, I get that he's really hot and that he flirts with anything that moves (and judging from the dummy in 'Duet,' with inanimate objects as well). But he SO CLEARLY strives to keep people at a distance, to the point where he gets really freaked out and confused when people flirt back. I don't believe that he's had sex with anybody in Atlantis except for Rodney, I really don't.
I was saying to inthekeyofd that I don't want to be too denial-prone--to plug my ears and go "la la la" whenever something that contradicts my OTP takes place. But amireal pointed out that what's really annoying about this episode is not that Sheppard had sex with some girl, but that he had sex with some girl when it was really, extremely, INTENSELY STUPID to do so. So yes, I would really really like it if someone wrote something to explain why Sheppard is willing to start things with these women and then call it off prior to the actual act. Personally, I'm gonna wrack my brain, but... *really does not need to be writing any more fic*
