But all the glory could have been yours! Noooooo!

Erm, I mean, thank you for telling me; I'll edit the post to give proper credit. *g*

Personally, I like them having consistent fanon first names, so long as they're not the wrong first names. (Marcus? No. Just...no.)

Heh. Yeah, [livejournal.com profile] slodwick told me about the Marcus thing. Where the hell did THAT come from? What crack are they smoking?

Mostly because virutally no one thinks of themselves by their surname, and so if I'm writing something from the POV of a character who doesn't have a canon first name, it makes me cranky

Exactly. Or, to use another example, I have this scene in my head between Parrish and Heightmeyer--no way is your shrink going to call you by your last name. It'd be weird. And unless you're Mulder or Scully, it mucks up sex scenes, too.

Thus, if I ever get the fic in question done, I suppose that this is the official announcement that I'll be following in your ([livejournal.com profile] casspeach's!) footsteps--hurrah for fanon first names!

Also, I'm uploading You Could Have It So Much Better for you. I'll let you know when it's done, but it's going to be here in maybe 90 minutes.

Oh, thank you SO MUCH. Is there anything you want? I have...well, a lot of random stuff, including an inhuman amount of U2. But feel free to ask!
