There is something about DADT stories that are told well that makes me hold my breath, and you did so well here. Admittedly, the ending's a little rushed, but the overall feel hits all the right notes. All the chilling details and limitations, but mostly the things that gut me are the desperation and longing, the soft and light touches that mean so much. There is so much fierce hope and wanting, and yeah, like fairestcat says, this is going to stick.

I really like how you use 'Damyata, Dayadhvam'.
