Wow, wouldn't it suck if the DADT chip ever did exist. Good lord. I think that's part of what I love about good, negative sci-fi, especially stuff like this: it makes me realize how awesome it is to be living in the world that I'm in right now, despite it's negative aspects.

And then it makes me wonder if I don't live in the world of some one else's negative sci-fi.

Kind of an incoherent way to sum up my thoughts, but you definitely stunned and awed me with this one. Brilliantly written and just a little bit creepy. I liked it a lot.
