Oh. Wow.

I just realized: with the three essays I turned in today, I've officially written all the papers I'm ever going to write in college.

*speechless*

So, um. What do you think I should do to celebrate?

She should grab the first kinda-look-alike from the street (looking like younger DH counts) and drag him to her bed, perhaps.

*g* It's actually kind of sad that my first thought on reading that comment was 'A Hewlett lookalike in Dublin? Where?!'

The thing that's even more sad is that she'd probably have to fight me for him. (Trin, honey, you know I love you. But the gloves would be off. Unless we could come to some kind of equitable time-share arrangement.)

OH you poor kids - only JF lookalikes in Dublin, are there?!

Sadly, there aren't any JF lookalikes in Dublin, either. The male population here is mostly sadly uninspiring.

There were two guys a while back floating around here a couple of weeks ago who looked freakishly similar to a younger Rodney and John - and a younger Rodney and John in kilts at that - but unfortunately they were Scottish tourists who have long since left.

I think I just need to give it up and move to Canada.

I WAS going to say you outta make a trip across the channel then, visit the Scottish men.

But everyone claims Joe is so Irish. And I do think "British" men have got a certain something. *pokes*

[identity profile] trinityofone.livejournal.com 2006-04-03 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
He does have a certain "black Irish" look. But he's still in the upper echelon of hot. UPPER upper.

The second power failure in 20 min swallowed my reply to you. About please to send me photographs of those guys. And how people with the facial structure and body of DH would not seem attractive to you even if they have a proven resemblance, same as people kept asking me if Joe was Tom Cruise or a Baldwin *shudder* Somebody up there hates me *tries to send off this comment again*

His colouring is very Irish, yes. Most of my family would have complexions/eye colours/hair colours very similar to his. Unfortunately, his is a hot that is rarely equalled in his ancestral country. *sad face*

But everyone claims Joe is so Irish. And I do think "British" men have got a certain something.

Also, er. I hate to be wanky about this, but it's my pet peeve. If you're Irish, then you're not British. British refers to those who live in the UK only. We've had a couple of wars and rebellions to help establish that. *g*

I know, that's why I used the quotation marks.

Oh, I'm sorry. I must have misread you.

I really understand. :S In the meantime I was thinking though that I might still be wrong - for lumping the look/facial characteristics of the two nationalities together :S although I do find them similar (I like them; not remarkable, but having something people round here lack).

Oh, no, there is certainly a resemblance between us all. I mean, whatever about the nationality or ethnic thing, there's definitely no such thing as a separate Irish or British 'race.' (My family's been living in the exact same spot in the Irish midlands for the last four hundred odd years, and I've still got Scottish and English ancestry within recent memory, Welsh a little further back, Viking further back again, and my surname is Norman French. So being all jumbled up is really kind of normal *g*) Even if JF's ancestry is entirely Irish (I have no idea how much of it is, actually, other than that his surname shows he must have some), the chances of his having a lot of English or Cornish or Scottish blood isn't exactly small.

Don't we wish! Alas, alack: it is not so.

Although there is a restaurant called Flanagan's on O'Connell Street...

[identity profile] trinityofone.livejournal.com 2006-04-03 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
PLEASE GIVE ME THE ADDRESSES OF ALL THESE DH LOOKALIKES YOU SEEM TO KNOW. KTHX.

Sorry, I don't chat up beer-guzzling men in Turkish bars. And the Zelenkas neither, there are more of those actually.

[identity profile] trinityofone.livejournal.com 2006-04-03 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I would take a Zelenka! *looks around desperately*

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_inbetween_/ 2006-04-03 09:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh darn, I deleted the wrong comment *too weak to headdesk* anyway, THIS was where I wanted to protest that the old men living in my street shouldn't get you, that would be wrong! Come on, imagine you are back in the US of A, wouldn't you suddenly think that the guys in Dublin were cute?

And if that fails, seriously, come to my place. You'll never bemoan the lack of attractive men in any English speaking country again *sigh*
