I keep meaning to make a deep and thoughtful post, but my brain is mush. University bureaucracy is kicking my ass, and I just want to sleeeeeeeep. But, uh, instead, lookit some shiny things:

And gacked from a whole lotta people, here is a meme. I'd be very interested if anyone chose to answer it, although it seems to involve deep thinkin', and I know that's tough. (I've spent a lot of time staring into the middle distance today...) But anyway:

Pretend for a minute that the only contact you have ever had with me is through my fic. We've never exchanged LJ comments or emails, never hung out in chat or on IM, never talked on the phone or met each other at a convention, none of that stuff. The only thing you know about me is the kind of fic I write. Based on the way I write my characters, and the way they speak, think, and behave, what does that say to you about what kind of person I am, my attitudes and opinions about real-life issues?

Finally, I'll let you in on a little secret.

...I'd probably think you were dark, tormented and poetic. Then I'd read the spy-fic and get very confused *g*.

Yeah, um, your characters tend to be fairly angsty and have assorted issues. Your language is beautiful and complex. You also usually have happy endings, despite the darkness you often include. So: angsty and sometimes emo, poetic and in love with language, and ultimately optimistic? Something like that?

I'd know that you were addicted to U2 and TS Eliot, too :)
