Yeah, this is what I'm worried about too: that after two years of boring writing, there's no way to save her. I think you're right, they ought to do something with her linguist skills. This is why I like my library notion ("notion" because it's too ill-formed to even be called an idea). Or, at the very least, give the lady a hobby!
