Absolute power! Kind of.

It's looking like I may actually have some influence into what goes into our "12 DVDs of Christmas" feature here at work (I am thisthis close to getting seasons 1 & 2 of Slings & Arrows in there—how cool would that be?), and I wanted to push for S2 of SGA. But I can't find any release info for it. I thought it was scheduled to come out in November—is that completely wrong? Does anybody have any information on that?

Speaking of cool TV, [livejournal.com profile] neery (who is an awesome houseguest and city explorer, BTW) and I watched an episode of Starsky and Hutch on Saturday. Damn, that show is slashy! Like, 80 billion times more than I expected, and I was expecting a lot. Does anyone know if the episodes are available for download anywhere?

NO! They aren't anywhere and it took me forever to find out when the S1 box set came out so I could predict when S2 will come out and it said November but I haven't seen anything and they're already showing the info for S9 of SG-1. *vexed*

But, you know, that would be _awesome_ if you pulled it off.

I want to pull it off! It would be so awesome! But hmm, it's interesting that they are showing SG-1. Maybe I can contact the publicist for that, and then find out...

Yeah, it showed up on Amazon and I immediately hared off to find Atlantis...no dice.

mgm now has a different dvd distributor. last year, it was sony (who bought mgm), but apparently mgm can choose a dvd different distributor? and they went with fox. i was concerned about that throwing a wrench into the works, but with sg1 on schedule for the same time as last year, i've been assuming sga will be out in november.

the only really happy upside to all of that is: when the dvds do get here, we might just get more than 4 chapter breaks in an episode.

Thanks for telling me it was Fox now. I've now left three different messages with publicists there—wish me luck!

GOD YES. I caught an episode on a cable channel a few years back and was like... BLOWN AWAY by the gayness. I sat there in SHOCK for the whole episode. Jaw to the GROUND.

Our jaws had carpet burn. Wow, 1970s! I am newly impressed by you.

S&H

I love watching old S&H eps, no way could they get away with some of that today. The guys are just so...physical with each other! Yum, yum.

I know. It's the worst!

I have no idea when the S2 of SGA is coming out, but please for the love of everything slashy if you do find out, post it.

And Starsky and Hutch, I watched a few epi's on OnDemand for free..oh yeah, all they had to do is take out the "and" and replace it with a "/" it would have been much easier. *smile*

Dude, everyone should be exposed to the awesome of Slings and Arrows. Oh Geoffrey.

And I don't know about S2 of SGA, either, but it better be out in time for me to put it on my Christmas list. *shakes fist*

The release date for S2 of SGA in region one seems to have been pushed back because of the distributor mess-ups, from what I've heard. The release of the box set for region two (continental Europe only--hurrah for Belgium) is definitely the 16th of November, though. I just hope to god that that isn't the actual box set cover--I don't want to have to fork out €30 for something whose cover displays the Flan with zombie hair.

Just say no to Air Force hazing rituals!

Also, now I am envisioning Ronon finding out about this, panicking, and wrapping his dreads in some kind of weird turban thing because he knows that with his bounteous locks, he is sure to be next! And Teyla is very bemused by it all, and Rodney pulls a muscle in his side laughing.

THANKS, TRIN.

Just have to squeeze in a 'YES!OMGYESYES!!!!' regarding Starsky & Hutch, this show is so definetly my happy place. The gayness is just overwhelming and unbelievably gay in a very gay way. Never fails to cheer me up. ♥ I'm pretty shure their eternal love for each other even healed a puppy or two back in it's days. ;)

Well, on the download-front, two important episodes of season 4 are available here, but that's about all I know. I don't think that there is a download community or anything like that...

Starsky and Hutch is the gayest, most adorably slashy show I have ever, ever seen. It's wonderful. They're just so married, and they don't even try to hide it. You know, in the fourth season they call each other 'babe'. Um, so I'm told. I've got seasons 1-3 on DVD, I found them cheap in a second hand DVD shop, you might be able to find them.
