Fic what I wrote!

I vented at poor [livejournal.com profile] tracy_loo_who about last night's SPN season finale, and I think that's all I'm gonna manage to say on the subject. The rest of my issues I'm going to have to work out through fic, which is more fun for everyone, I think. And pornier.

Speaking of, the reveals for [livejournal.com profile] deancastiel's Renegade Angels III went up earlier this week. I wrote two stories:

Title: If on a winter's night a fangirl
Pairings: Dean/Castiel & Chuck/Becky
Rating: R
Warnings: Crackishness; about the usual amount of blasphemy
Spoilers: Through 5x09
Length: ~12,300 words
Summary: “Chuck,” Becky said, slowly and carefully and very, very seriously. “I think someone is trying to communicate with us through the fanfic.”
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] alek_sandros. In writing this story I owe many thanks to my betas, [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve and [livejournal.com profile] aesc, and deep apologies to Italo Calvino.

If on a winter's night a fangirl

Title: Creature of Habit
Pairing: Dean/Castiel
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: Through 5x13
Length: ~5,500 words
Summary: The more you love someone, the more you want to kill them. Or: How Cas developed some bad habits, and Dean coped surprisingly well.
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] misslucyjane, who asked for Dean and Castiel lying on the hood of the Impala at night, talking. Many thanks to my infinitely patient and wise betas, [livejournal.com profile] aesc, [livejournal.com profile] bauble, [livejournal.com profile] radiobroadcast, and [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve!

Creature of Habit

And while I'm pimping things out, I guess I'll use this space to remind everyone that I have a Twitter! That I am actually using now! It's mostly fannish stuff, book stuff, and random celebrity sightings. In other words, what this LJ would be if I ever actually updated it. *blush*

I approve!

I have used a winning method to go through this season. Before I watch I read all the negative reviews I can find, the worst the better, then I load the episode. Someway it worked for this one too.
I was completely disappointed about how Castiel was handled all season, and this ep was no exception (even if I've already worked through my rage), but I'm hoping that next season will make up for this black hole of meanless angst that season 5 was, as I think Sam will not be present for at least the first episodes. More time for Cas and Dean (hopefully)!

You wrote If On a Winter's Night? I loved that so much! I hope I remembered to comment at the time, but if not, here it is: that was amazingly funny, and I loved it to pieces.

Your issues and my issues need to go out drinking together, they seem to have things in common.

I fucking ADORED these fanfics. ADORED. Please, please, please, please, please work out more of your issues with fanfic. Did I mention how much I adore these fic?

I love that you are on twitter.

I must say that the banter in "Creature of Habit" was a thing of beauty. That fic was in my top three fics of the exchange. In fact, I should go reread it now since I'm in need of a desperate pick me up.

I wish I could be part of the optimistic portion of fandom that seem to believe Cas is still gonna be a big part of the show next season. Myself, I think he might appear once or twice. And after last night, I'm undecided if I want them getting near his characterization again. *Oops. Did I just randomly Debbie Downer in your journal? Apologies!*

Anyway, I very much look forward to you working out your issues through fic. This can only mean good things.
