I totally have an unfinished fic where he does that. (Hmm. Perhaps I should just turn it into a porny missing scene?)

I don't know what was up with all the stuff about Rodney's weight, but since it was pretty much the only sour note for me in the episode, I'm gonna try real hard to ignore it. (Although seriously, where are they going with that? And what makes you think it's the Hewlett? 'Cause it makes NO SENSE to me. Food is for yay, and y'know, god forbid Rodney should enjoy some fucking grapes.)

Separate from that, though, I'm going to enjoy the thought of Rodney getting to have some yummy citrus experiences. *pets him*

I also WTF'd at the bit where he has to say, "I'm exactly the same weight as I was when I got here," when if anything, he's lost weight, and OMFG, why do I have to care about this anyway? He's incredibly hot, PTB, and I don't need vicarious body issues on top of my own! Grr.

I caught a glimpse on my second run-through and thought, "Wait a sec..." so I went back and paused it. Sure enough...!

He must have done it under carefully controlled circumstances the first time. Do you think he had Carson standing by? Did the idea to try just come to him, or did something inspire him, or did John or Ronon think of it...

This needs to be explored further. ;-)

Yes! I was watching the ep on a new program yesterday and the FF and REW functions were very fussy, so I had to keep going forward and back and forward and back until I finally managed to freeze on that shot to see if I really saw what I thought I saw. So cute!

Well considering muscle to fat ratios, it IS possible for him to weigh the same and still look thinner. Muscle is more dense than fat, so spatially less space for the same mass.

Well we learned he spent time with Carson that we didn't see on screen when he tells John he told Carson to do a full autopsy. We can assume they did more medical exams together, and we can very well imagine experiments with citrus happened as well.

This needs to be further developped indeed. Like most scenes of this ep. I'm waiting impatiently for the fics about what John would/could have said, had Rodney not collapsed.

The weight comments didn't bother me in that I took it as meaning that Ronon's kind of a jackass (or at least vain--which I totally believe) as opposed to that the TPTB and Atlantis have no concept of skinny people.

It's funny how I cannot pair John with anybody but Rodney, but Rodney I'm really more open about it. Rodney/Ronon I have no problem at all. It all started with the "You don't touch him" line in the hive ship and it keeps growing bigger every day.
