I found out that today is both Canada Day and the International Day of Slash. In honor of both these occasions, I wrote fic.

A/N: Written for the combined occasion of Canada Day and the International Day of Slash. Inspired by an essay by David Rakoff, who is gay, Canadian, and awesome.
A/N2: I figure that not too many people are familiar with Black Death, so here’s all you need to know about Nyles: he’s played by David Hewlett, he’s an investigative reporter in New York City, and in the film, he’s very upset over the death of his male “roommate.” Right.

Thanks to everyone who sent good thoughts. I’m still having my mini-‘Conversion’ moment, except I seem to be turning into a big pink bug instead of a blue one (is this ‘cause I’m a girl? That’s sexist!). Also, I have papers that I’m totally ignoring! But yin_again said that if I wrote Julian/Emmett, she’d write McKay/Sheppard/Lorne/Parrish, so! I have priorities, you know. *g*

This is pretty crackish. And I can’t believe I’ve written Boa vs. Python fic now. *facepalm*

First Monday the show keeps getting worse and worse; Joe Flanigan's role in it, however, just gets better and better and better. siriaeve posted a review in screencaps of Julian Lodge's most recently posted antics; I adore John Sheppard, but The Flan has forever earned my devotion for giving the world this character as well. I love his pretentious little bowtied self! So does Siria, and as we have this—AND OUR HETEROSEXUALITY—in common, I wrote her some Julian!fic.

There needs to be more fic about Julian! For example, I want to write the story where he opens up about his gayness a bit and goes to work for the Log Cabin Republicans and is mostly very disheartened and discouraged, except for when he's having sex with his hot boyfriend who looks like David Hewlett. Um, and eventually he gives it up and becomes a Democrat, because this story is a fantasy, okay? A fantasy with bowties. Work with me here. But! Who should Julian's hot sex-giving boyfriend be?
