Yay! I'm glad you liked Alanna, although I'm sad you *didn't* meet her earlier; I first read that when I was, I don't know, thirteen? Fourteen? And it made a *huge* impression on me. Also, thanks for the word on the McCrumb; I won't bother mooching, but if I come across it, I'll probably read it. I agree, though; the setting and all makes the books ideal for a fan audience, people who will like the con background, but she's so nasty about it that that doesn't make so much sense. Bizarre.
