I imagine Gene would probably be a very...difficult person to live with every day, but I also think it would be nigh-impossible to know him and not come to admire him on that deep level, as you mentioned. So I'm glad that is coming across!
This is not my first fic—I've been kicking around SGA fandom for years, and before that BtVS/Angel and X-Files—but I'm generally a nervous person (worse than Chris!) so I am both relieved and pleased that y'all are not running screaming. ;-) I look forward to participating in discussions and other good stuff! :)
