Congratulations!

Actually, I was just talking about this with [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve today: I believe "Amabo" means "I will love" in Latin. APPROPRIATE, NO? *g*

Yes, I think I do know, because it's been a long time for me, too. Someone to vote FOR. Wow.

His speech is wonderful, too. I'm listening to it as I type. OH OH OBAMA!

That was a fabulous speech. I'm alone in my living room and yet I was bobbing my head and smacking the sofa and practically shouting "YES!" NOW IS THE TIME!

Someone to vote FOR.

Exactly! For me, as a vote-casting adult, it's gonna be the FIRST time! \o/

How long? Only because you look really young!!

And the last time I felt that way was almost 8 years ago, sorry but I still think Bill Clinton was one kick ass president.

Honestly, either one of them and I would have been happy, never have two candidates been more deserving, seriously, I don't think I can even remember a time since that has happened.

Well—I'm 24. But I've been politically active from a very young age—I made campaign posters for Dukakis! And my family ran the Clinton campaign headquarters for our county in '92, so yeah—that was probably the last time for me, too.

I am very, very excited about voting in November! And I'm excited that the rest of the seems to feel the same!

VERY COOL!!! I remember talking to my friend saying how when I was 16 I was talking to others about Amnesty International and such and how I had talked about the destruction of the rainforests by 18 and wrote one kick ass term paper for a college freshman class about all the ramifications of unemployement in Ireland..she was like, when I was 18, I was lounging by the pool..she got really into Pearl Jam and thought she had wasted those years..how I figure, it's not when you show up, it's that you do.

I love it when people get excited about anything, they release happiness!!

(and I do hope the young comment didn't bother you, I shouldn't talk, when I was 29 I was carded to buy lottery tickets, but I'm only in my 30's and still look young..which, I've come to realize can be a good thing *smile*)

Yes, absolutely! And so many people are showing up this year—it's WONDERFUL!

And no, I don't mind—I mean, it's true! Better that I look my age than be 24 and look 80. ;-)

HOT ICON IS HOT.

I can't help but notice on your shirt that Obama's name backwards is, pretty much, "AMABO" (with just one inverted letter) — which, since you've probably forgotten all your Latin, means "I will love."

Also, apart from the dimly lit surroundings and vague fuzziness of it all, that's a pretty nice picture of you, for once. ;)

I am not even in North America and I am all kinds of gleeful! :D :D :D Apparently the news reports went from Obama (acceptance speech of win, stadium full of people), to Clinton (lots of people, still an exciting place to be even though she's lost), to... McCain. With, like, nobody there, and him sounding like a crazy old dude rambling to himself.

I think the phrase is BRING IT ON. :D

Also, the world (read: me) clearly needs alien ritual fic featuring the dance of joy *g* Or the team gets to a planet and the whole time John and Rodney are thinking it's oddly familiar, and then it's called Mepos. And maybe someone puts them through the absurd marriage test! Seriously, I would DIE over this fic!!
