I guess what I’m really saying is, I wish Hemingway had just manned up and written a cookbook.
Now I want to read the AU in which Hemingway only *ever* wrote cookbooks. Think of the fascinating yet subtle changes in our cultural understanding of masculinity! And ideally the substantially reduced correlation of "manly" with "racially and sexually offensive"! Seriously, though, it could be a lot of fun :)
I just made my library buy The Pox Party. It was dead exciting! But now I'm kind of scared to actually, y'know, *read* the thing. SO DEPRESSING.
