...about the serious (and awesome!) work I have been doing for the Obama campaign.

ARGH! I HATE KENLEY! I was so afraid they would keep her around just for the drama, and THEN THEY DID. Why must they do this to me in the middle of the election season, the night before the Vice Presidential debate? WHY?

See, I managed to interject politics after all!

Hold me.

I know! The combination of her and Sarah Palin on my TV all the time is almost too much for me to bear!

:(

This is really subtle, but...you haven't happened to get any interesting packages lately, have you?

No! No interesting packages - but I've been out of town and my mail was forwarded across to my friend's house? And things are still dribbling in over there. AND NOW I AM EXCITED :D

Oh, phew! I was getting to write the post office a nasty note—blaming them for Kenley and Palin, among other things. ;-)

Don't get too excited, though. 'Tis a tiny, tiny thing.

I'd be interested in hearing about your serious work for the Obama campaign.

I keep meaning to make a post, and then being tired. *is lame* I am so impressed by the other campaign workers, who are doing way more than I am, and yet seem to have boundless energy!

I'll try to make a post in the next couple days, though. Maybe after the debate? :\

After last season, they're getting totally predictable. "Oh no, we can't possibly eliminate the fourth person yet! We must keep them around!"

The worst thing is that I would totally wear Kenley's stuff. Apart from that I would never buy it BECAUSE SHE'S A TOTAL BITCH. "Oh no, they all hate me, whine whine whine!"

Oooh, please do a post about your Obama stuff! I haven't had the time to do more than throw them money when I have it, but Obama is one of the few campaigns I would love to work for!

SERIOUSLY. Oh my god, I wanted Korto to smack her. "Bitch, you think you've been fighting all your life? OPEN YOUR MOUTH SO I CAN SHOVE YOUR PRIVILEGE DOWN YOUR THROAT."

Augh. Never have I wanted to punch someone on television so badly! That may, in fact, include Sarah Plain and Tall Palin.

Kenley needs a time out, and probably a spanking. Good god. (The better part of me, also known as "the mom-voice" keeps thinking maybe this will be a learning experience for her. Maybe seeing herself as a spoiled, immature brat will help her begin to grow up!)

Mostly, I just want to slap her silly.

*cackles* at Sarah Plain and Tall.

How Kenley seriously thinks she's had to fight for anything . . . Jiminy Cricket. She is the Ghost of Wendy Pepper, as [livejournal.com profile] franticjoy put it. God, I hope Korto calls her out on her crazy.

I was shocked when she said that. Seriously, I clutched at [livejournal.com profile] scrunchy and shouted, "oh my god, you crazy bitch!" Just, how can someone go through life with aaaabsolutely no self-awareness? Not only her level of oblivious privilege, but her whole "Everyone else's styles have been done before!" So've yours, sweetie! In fact, they were done for a whole decade, and if you keep on saying you're an original, Betsey Johnson is gonna come over there and put a polka-dotted shoe on your throat!

*takes a deep breath* Ohhh, my goodness, I think I'm investing all my energy into Project Runway so that I don't spin myself into a little ball of crazy before the debate tonight. I am SO EXCITED and yet SO NERVOUS. I was reading the New York Post (which was my first mistake) over someone's shoulder on the subway this morning, and there was an article, headlined with something like IFILL OUTRAGE, all about how people (Michelle Malkin, various other right wing crazies) were flipping out over how Gwen Ifill has written a book about black politicians and so is clearly biased toward Barack Obama. DUDES, if you're gonna be crazy about this shit, go whole hog! SHE HAS A VAGINA AND THUS IS BIASED TOWARD PALIN!!!!

The debate hasn't even started and people are already coming up with excuses. Fuckin' A.

Then again, like Rachel Maddow said last night, the bar has been set so low for Palin that unless she swears, trips, or vomits all over herself, there is no possible way that anyone will say she did a bad job.

I have already stocked up on booze. SIGH.

I saw that Ifill was all - would you be presuming that the author of a book would favor a candidate who's in that book if the author and candidate were WHITE? *snap*

And yeah, that's been my fear about Palin all along - if she walks in a straight line she'll be declared the winner. That said, she does seem to have an astonishing capacity for stupid. I loved her answer to couric about what she reads - "all of them." *facepalm*

I know! Like, really, sweetie? You read The Nation? You read Cat Fancier? (Actually, I would not be surprised if she read Cat Fancier, it's probably mostly pictures of cats and I, personally, would find that quite soothing ...)

Oh, Palin. This is gonna be great. And horrifying. But mostly great.
