I almost want to start leaving you a reading list - but I will just say this - if you can find Gotham Central - read those. They were truly awesome comics, and that are based off the Gotham police, so the superheroes are to the side. Batman, the Long Halloween is also excellent. I'm assuming you've read the Killing Joke, and Watchmen?
I really enjoyed Joss' X-men, did you see the animation they did on Marvel's site? It was interesting. Sorry! I am just excited to see you reading so many graphic novels. Oh, and you said before about me enjoying Astro City more than you - probably not! I only really liked the Visitors/Welcome Guide. I prefered Top Ten over Astro City.
Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, and Fables are all very good comics as well, if you want to get into Vertigo lines. I think you would like the Pride of Baghdad as well. I'll knock it off now.
