Last night I got high with a guy named John Lawrence who's from Lawrence, Kansas. (His mom's name is Mary.) We watched four episodes of Supernatural and I ate a third of a lemon meringue pie.

I would say, "The only thing I regret is the pie" but how can you ever truly regret pie?

Second, this is probably already making the rounds, but I need to preserve it for my, uh, "files":

From a New York Post article, 'GAY' TWIST ON SHERLOCK HOLMES AND DR. WATSON MAY BACKFIRE IN GUY RICHIE'S FILM:

"But Michael Medved, a former Post movie critic, says Downey and Law must be joking. 'There's not a seething, bubbling hunger to see straight stars impersonating homosexuals,' Medved told us. 'I think they're just trying to generate controversy . . . They know that making Holmes and Watson homosexual will take away two-thirds of their box office. Who is going to want to see Downey Jr. and Law make out? I don't think it would be appealing to women. Straight men don't want to see it.'"

*falls over laughing*

There are just SO MANY jokes I could make. (To start with, try: Michael Medved—big idiot, or BIGGEST idiot?) But I think we should all just start sending Michael Medved slash fic. I think he would learn a lot!

Finally, there is now a Dean/Castiel drabble comm! It's [livejournal.com profile] deancas100. I love drabble challenges! I already wrote my first entry, here. Come play!

OH man someone has to let the guy know Sherlock is officially the first ever fandom. I don't care if there are no masses hungering to see Law and Downy JR snogging but it just might make me think about going to watch the movie now :D

I wonder if any of his female acquaintances have informed Mr. Medved of how very, very, so very wrong he is about that. Possibly they're too busy laughing uproariously to tell him.

There's not a seething, bubbling hunger to see straight stars impersonating homosexuals

Oh, Mr. Medved, Mr. Medved, Mr. Medved... Step into my brain for a moment so that I may enlighten you on this matter.

Well, it's not RDJ and JL that I have a burning desire to see make out, but still - if they do, I will totally be there! Also straight men can suck my dick - I'm sick of the world conforming to what they want.

... NYP has never heard of Brokeback Mountain, has it?

But no, seriously. It's Downey and that other dude, whatever. Done by Guy Ritchie.

Movie's gonna do fiiiiiine.

ETA: On the other hand, I'm tempted to ask my mother about this to ask if seeing the lead males making on each other would bother her. But then I'd have to deal with talking about The Gay again, so. No.

Re: that idiot's apparent lack of interaction with the internet...

I think what I said to my dad when I read this was, "Oh no, women would not want to see this at all. What a nightmare! A nightmare of hotness."

They know that making Holmes and Watson homosexual will take away two-thirds of their box office.

Billy Wilder's producers thought that as well, and they were just as wrong.

"What a nightmare! A nightmare of hotness."

As I've said elsewhere, Mr. Medved clearly frequents a different Internet than I do.

The slash is the one and only reason I'm even considering seeing that movie. Is there some kind of award for people who manage to miss the point that completely ;)

*snort*

I saw that article and sent it to a bunch of friends in e-mail and said, "Can you pick out the sentence that made me laugh the hardest?"

Needless to say none of them ahd any problem picking that out.

*snicker*

I do have to wonderif he wouldhave said the same thing about girl on girl action in something, like a Xena movie or something.

*falls over laughing* Make room, I'm on the floor too. Wow. Nah, women wouldn't want to see two guys making out. Just like guys don't want to see two women making out. Oh give me strength.
