Very Interesting. I've been getting the feeling that John is kind of psychotic - but I couldn't put my finger on exactly how. I like your explanation.

Also, the fact that Rodney doesn't fix him is wonderfully unexpected. He comforts John, but only makes it from chimp up to cat - and is that really a rise? Maybe it's just that cats are cleaner than chimps, use litterboxes, and love you if you feed them?
