[livejournal.com profile] isiscolo is running the Hewligan Fest over at [livejournal.com profile] sga_6degrees, which is a terrific community for fic and art related to SGA actors' other works. I was prompted to write a fic where the eponymous character in the David Hewlett film Joe's Wedding is replaced by Joe Flanigan. In that movie, DH plays Joe's best friend Rob. This is Rob )And this, as you know, is Joe )

And this is my fic!

Title: Joe’s Big Fat Gay Wedding
Fandoms: RPF/Joe’s Wedding
Author: [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone
Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] libitina
Pairing: Joe Flanigan/Rob Fitzgerald
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Los Angeles, 1996. A young actor named Joe is about to tie the knot when his old friend Rob blows into town for one last crazy night…
A/N: Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve for her thoughtful and helpful comments, and to [livejournal.com profile] isiscolo for running this awesome fest.
Disclaimer: The Joe and Rob in this story are equally real, which is to say, not.

Joe’s Big Fat Gay Wedding

You should also read the fantastic story that was written for me, On a Gathering Storm by [livejournal.com profile] darth_begbie, which is Julian Lodge/David Kellum. *vbeg*

Things are craaaaaaaazy here at work. We're approaching deadline, and suddenly last-minute, I have to write a bunch more entries for our "12 DVDs of Christmas" feature. (Slings and Arrows made it in, BTW. WIN.) This is harder than it sounds, first because I have to write for a very different audience than I'm used to. For example, I'm doing House, and I'd like to say, "In Season Two, House and Wilson somehow managed to be even more gay for each other, and it was awesome." But I can't say that. I really can't say that. *sigh*

Also, I'm suddenly in a position where I have to write about shows I've never seen. (I almost got stuck with doing The Sopranos, and that would have been disastrous.) This is where you come in. Anyone want to volunteer some thoughts on why the second half of the second season of Battlestar Galactica was cool? Just so I have some real emotion, even if it's borrowed, to shove into my 100-word description. Otherwise I'm going to sound like I'm regurgitating the press release, which I really hate. I'd much rather regurgitate you guys.

I say that with love.

No, seriously: *her flist = the only reason Trin is not unemployed*

Trin's boss: "When Olivia Wilde was on The O.C., was there just one scene where she kissed Mischa Barton, or was it an ongoing thing? Did they have a love scene?"

You know, there are probably ways for me to discover this stuff, but it's just so much easier to ask you guys. At least I posted fic today.

*is nevertheless a terrible person*
