Oct. 6th, 2005 01:26 pmYAY! I'm in Ireland!
NAY! I have no internet, nor will I have it for up to two weeks!
BASICALLY: I'm fine, I'm having a good time, I met a cute boy last night (!), I miss you all terribly, and this is costing me $0.10 a minute.
I'LL POST AGAIN AS SOON AS I HAVE ACCESS!
Cheers!

Date: 2005-10-07 05:45 pm (UTC)Questions/comments/concerns:
1. I had a dream you had already posted to LJ and then when I woke up and you hadn't, I was sad. :(
2. I've been pestering your family to make sure you're alive. Sorry about that.
3. Let me know when there's a phone number I can call. We have to discuss "Serenity"! And, you know, Ireland.
4. Have you had any contact with my Trinity friends? You should because it has recently come to my attention that they're all actually really nice people and I think they'd be good allies to have.
5. Get internet access soon! I eagerly await your next post.

Date: 2005-11-11 11:15 am (UTC)Yes, I am doing study abroad at Trinity College in Dublin (hence the lame-o username--this was never meant to be a fannish journal. Um, ooops?). So far I'm the worst ex-pat ever--I miss L.A. *sheepish grin*
Why do you ask?

Date: 2005-11-11 12:28 pm (UTC)Really? LOL!
Why do you ask?
Because I'm curious? *g*
And because I'm a foreign student in Ireland myself. Not in Dublin, though. I'm staying in Limerick. :)

Coolness! What's Limerick like? If I'm ever over there (and god, please let me get out of this city sometime) or you're over here, we should have coffee or something. =)
And if you don't mind, I'm going to friend you, fellow SGAer abroad! (We need to stick together. *g*)

Date: 2005-11-11 03:26 pm (UTC)Amen to that!
What's Limerick like?
Small... compared to what I'm used to from home. By Irish standards it's pretty impressive, I guess. ;)
I'd love to have a coffee with a fellow fan! Seriously. I mean, it really sucks sitting in front of the tv all by myself, watching McKay kiss Beckett and no one there to enjoy Shep's jealous stare with me. *pouts* My roomies are into scifi (well, some of them), but they are neither fangirls nor interested in Stargate. Just Star Trek.
So, yes, if you come to Limerick one day we really should meet up. I was in Dublin already. Didn't see much of it, because we spent most of the time under our umbrella's... but technically I was there. ;)
(We need to stick together. *g*)
Yes we should. Slashers seem to be rare here. I did a search on LJ for fannish people here in Limerick or in Ireland... nada. *pouts*

Date: 2005-11-12 05:27 pm (UTC)Oh, I so feel your pain. I used to have weekly TV/snark parties, and now I'm all on my lonesome. *pouty pout*

Same. Except for the wonderful
You know, there really ought to be some sort of LJ community to help people find local fans. Or does something like that already exist and I'm just too stupid to know about it? ;-)
