I really feel like I should send you flowers for writing this. It's...perfect. Absolutely perfect. Having recently started reading HDM and falling utterly in love with the series, I'm giddy at the notion that someone was able to take a universe such as SGA--which on the surface seems very OMGWTF in correlation to HDM--and fuse it seamlessly with Pullman's own universe, right down to the tone and language. I love that John's daemon is a snake, and Rodney's a mouse. Like I said, perfect (although personally I would've given Beckett a Golden Retriever daemon, but that's just me. *g*).
