And since the logical follow-up to telling you all why you should be very, very afraid of me is to ask for stuff, it's time for the Wishlist Meme! I've never done one of these before, as asking for stuff tends to make me uncomfortable, but it's my early New Year's resolution to be more obnoxious and demanding, so...

The Rules

STEP ONE

-Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

STEP TWO

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

...then beggars would ride.

1. Cover art/icons for any of my SGA fic. (I specify SGA 'cause that's where my interest currently lies; however, if you're desperate to make art for my ancient Buffyfic, I certainly ain't gonna stop you.) Christmas kind of came early this year thanks to [livejournal.com profile] slodwick, but if anything, that's just made me greedier. *eg*

2. Icons in general. I'd love SGA icons with quotes from T.S. Eliot or U2; I also really, really want a Blade Runner icon.

3. McKay/Sheppard stories. Plotty ones--plotty and smutty ones. I particularly like: snark, first times, amnesia, accidents with Ancient technology, voyeurism, Zelenka being his awesome self, genderfuck, quiet stories that show an established relationship far in the future, AUs of the "something is just slightly different" type, stories where alternate realties collide, and Firefly crossovers. Actually, crossovers in general rock.

4. Whole seasons of shows I have not seen. These absolutely DO NOT have to be fancy DVD box sets; I can play .avi and .wmv files, and I'm more than happy to do so. ;-) I'd love: seasons 2, 3, 4, or 7 of SG-1; the relevant seasons of dueSouth, which thanks to my flist, I am reluctantly becoming interested in *g*; the first season of House; the first series (and whatever there is of the second) of the new Doctor Who; and the 2nd and 3rd series of Black Books. Got any other TV shows you think I would love? I'd be happy to check them out, too. ETA: Oh, and the original Star Trek, of which I have seen none. It totally destroys my geek cred, let me tell you. ETA: Or, on [livejournal.com profile] mandysbitch's recommendation: Oz!

5. Music mixes! I love being exposed to new music, and I especially love themed mixes. ([livejournal.com profile] _rfa is brilliant. *nods*) Live tracks and cool covers are awesome, too.

6. Books. Book recs, or even the old paperbacks you just don't want anymore. I am a book whore.

7. Food! Come from a part of the world where there's an easily-packaged, non-perishable local delicacy? I'd love to try it. Alternately, chocolate is universal. ;-)

...And I'm going to stop there, 'cause those are some pretty extensive wishes. And please, don't feel obligated to get me anything; this is much more a "Hey, if you happen to have any of this stuff lying around" kinda thing. I always used to write my letter to Santa on December 1st; I must be feeling nostalgic. =)

Finally, here's my address, although I wrote this list with the intention of having pretty much everything on it be stuff that can be given within the world of the web. But RL does occasionally butt in on us, so...

By "revlevant" seasons of due South, do you mean the Ray Kowalski seasons? Because they are all amazing, even if you don't see the slashiness with Ray Vecchio.

Any genre of books you like especially? I've run out of shelf space (*again*) and could probably use an excuse to cull some.

Ah! If only I'd known this yesterday, for I am actually flying to your fair city in... under six hours! *completely tangential dancing* But that's okay, 'cause there are many other ways to accomplish things. *g*

Oh man, so I found this bookstore that has a bunch of old pulp novels for like, a few bucks? That's pretty much what I'm planning on getting everyone for Christmas, so I reckon I may wing a couple your way as well ;)

Also, hey, question! Prior to posting this, you have generally referred to yourself in the third person via your username — is "trinityofone" or "trinity" or something the preferred way of referring to you, or do you go by "Anna" as well? ;)

4. Whole seasons of shows I have not seen

I have tapes - oz and the pretender that I am getting DVD versions of. So I'm keen to send them to a good home. However, they're all NTSC format though so I'm not sure you can play them in your part of the world... (I'm in a PAL zone as, I think, you are but this is Australia - we can play anything)? But I *do* want to pimp you Oz because beecherandkellerisloveomg... *g*

Icons! Yay?
Yes, it's a literal interpretation of the lyrics. What's your point?
