I read a fic once, and I have no idea what it was, who wrote it, or where I'd find it again, but there was a line about, "John was a slutty drunk, like his mother, and a mean drunk, like his father"

That's justabi's Flower Girl (livejournal.com/users/justabi/121860.html), which I was reading yesterday, and that's one of my favorite lines in it, too.
