i read this back in march, but i don't remember leaving feedback, so just stopping by to say i really love this. i've read it numerous times since, and it gets better each time. as i'm sure others have said, making it a slight step to the right AU is very creepy and affecting. also, made room for one of my favorite things: casual, public touches taking on a much heavier meaning.
