Has everybody seen the S2 DVD extra about David Hewlett? YOU MUST. To facilitate this, I (along with many other marvelous people) have uploaded it. (YSI and sendspace were being bitchy to me earlier, so I'm trying Up-File. It usually downloads pretty swiftly for me; the trick is in locating the download link, which is to the right below the ads--I think it says "upfile link 4 u." Click on that; it'll take you to the download page.)

Profile - David Hewlett (44 mb, .wmv)

I think this was originally uploaded by [livejournal.com profile] bluespirit_star--thank you!

Okay, have you seen it? Then I think we should use this post for Hewlett squee. I'm not sure what made me flail the most. Was it the mocking of his own hand gestures and the 15-minute rule? The fish sticks story? The just general, hilarious, self-deprecating awesomeness that is David Hewlett? I AM OVERCOME. In a really good way.

Not to distract you from the glory of the Hewlett, but a couple of other things:

[livejournal.com profile] dar_jeeling is on a quest to find the perfect brownie recipe, so here's the one my mom and my aunt use:

Katharine Hepburn's Brownies

1. Melt together 1 stick butter and 2 squares unsweetened chocolate and take the saucepan off the heat.

2. Stir in 1 cup sugar, add 2 eggs and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and beat the mixture well.

3. Stir in 1/4 cup all-purpose flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt. (In the original recipe, 1 cup chopped walnuts is added here as well.)

4. Bake the brownies in a buttered and floured 8-inch-square pan at 325°F for about 40 minutes.

You can cut these brownies into squares, once they have cooled, and eat them out of the pan, but it is so much nicer to pile them on a fancy plate, from which people are going to eat them with their hands anyway. If you want to smarten up your act you can put a square of brownie on a plate with a little blob of créme fraîche and a scattering of shaved chocolate.

And I promised [livejournal.com profile] honey_babes my favorite John/Teyla songs. These pretty much sum up how I view that relationship: full of dramatic potential; smokin' hot while it lasts; but ultimately, doomed.

Cold Cold Water - Mirah
Mirah sings all the best Teyla songs. In this song, outside events and the trials of the world eventually prove too much for them...

Unmade Bed - Sonic Youth
...and in this one, John's just really screwed up. *coughs*

Anyway. David Hewlett. TALK AMONGST YOURSELVES.

It is indeed! Hopefully, there won't be another accident like today. I'm stuffed with bad brownies! (Because I had munch on them in a depressed fashion, of course.) ;)

That was so great! Thank you for sharing it. I love him SO much he just makes me flail with...well, love. And how much did my love for Torri just shoot through the roof with her "so hot" comment about the kiss in Duet! LOL! Great stuff.

The fingersnapping, definitely! I may have rewound and rewatched that part a few too many times. :">

Also, the fumbling with the flashlight with Jason 'dancing' in the back. Oh, and the pool thing. And the kiss thing. Seeing it from every possible angle is a thing of beauty.

In conlusion: Mmmmm, brownies. And Hewlett!

He has an amazing capacity to make me love him more and more--which really shouldn't be possible, considering how much I already adore him!

Pausing isn't bad. Pausing is good. It's nice to...linger.

Torri seems like such an awesome person. I wish I liked Elizabeth more.

Flailing is I think the appropriate response. That, and watching it again. Which I think I may do...

"You wake up screaming."

I LOVE YOU, you are a goddess for uploading. I hadn't seen that extra yet. I'm on my third time through.

The fake cry, the "So you've got nothing, really?"

I would choose Hewlett over brownies. That says a lot. I would choose Rodney over citrus, too, and I say this as someone who happily eats an orange every morning!

Dude, yes! I adore all things citrus-y (mmmmm, red grapefruits), but now they have this kinda negative connotation.

Look what fandom is doing to me!! *faints dramatically*

"If I talk fast enough, I'm hoping people will notice that I'm missing every third or fourth word. So, yes I do talk this fast- no one has ever understood anything I've said. High school was hell."

For the win. I love the little multiple cuts to each answer, 'cause he thinks of something clever to say or is being a dork or something.
