That makes me happy! I've even constructed a kind of story around it, that the image in the icon is from a bit in the future, a time when things are going much better for John, and he can just...enjoy music again. So it's inspirational!
And how you *pointedly* don't mention John loving Rodney back.
Oh, but he does, though! I really think he does. Because I need, for myself, to write a happy ending!
