Date: 2006-11-01 06:52 pm (UTC)We talked about this and by we, I mean many of us.
The thing is, in the end, to us it wasn't RPF so much as a HUGE METAPHOR. It sort of transcended the line and so while on a technical level it IS RPF, it sort of wasn't. Which is why the warnings and headers were structured like that. So that people could get a feel before/as they figured out it was on that line or over it. But we still wanted the fact that it did, on it's basic level, conform to the rules of RPF available for those who simply couldn't read it for various reasons.
I (and I'm sure Trin does as well) totally understand why some people will skip over the story and I'm glad that you took the time to read the headers and I hope it was convenient enough for you. Just remember there are people on the otherside of the line, who have expressed their appreciation for being obscure. We tried to balance everyone's preferences and hope we hit almost everyone.
