Had a really lovely time at dinner last night with all the creative writing folks. We should have been doing this all semester! Because as much as that class occasionally transformed me into angst on a stick, I really enjoyed the company of everyone who was in it. Now I feel like we were all just rescued after having been trapped in the wilderness together for five months and are being told we need to go our separate ways. But...you can't separate us! We bonded!

Luckily, I've found some of my fellow castaways on LJ. ::waves to [livejournal.com profile] snowmanscraps, [livejournal.com profile] jellyfish93, [livejournal.com profile] emiofthecity, and [livejournal.com profile] mhotaru::

Speaking about being trapped on islands with strange and interesting people:
I'm still deeply in love with Sawyer and his glasses of extreme geekitude. He can come read to me anytime...though I suspect this is not just a throwaway gag, and that there's a deeper significance just out of reach...

(And how sad is it that I can be mildly interested in a badboy type, but the second you put a pair of dorky glasses on him ::coughS5Spikecough:: I'm drooling? I'm so predictable!)

Also, I hate the ABC preview team. Adding extra gunshots...making me think for three weeks that Locke was gonna die...HATE!

As for Alias...WTF?

Last night I was punished for not making my aliens very scary with a terrifying dream in which the planet was invaded. The attacking aliens would slap these rubbery masks onto people's faces that seared the flesh and stuck there. The masks would then work their tendrils under the skin and up through the face to the brain--gradually, so the person would know what was happening to them--and when the tendrils were entirely secured, the person would be a mindless, faceless automaton. Goodbye, planet Earth.

And you know the real kicker? I dreamt it as a comic book.

My nightmares are totally my favorite dreams, and I'm jealous.

Yeah, I like my nightmares, too, 'cause sometimes I can turn them into stories. But this dream...whoa. You could have totally done the illustrations for it, though--I think my subconscious was ripping you off. ;-)

If it makes you feel better, I dreamt I was playing the cello.

Ha ha! I infected you!

...That sounds really bad out of context.
