Tokyo Drift photos for wychwood

wychwood reminded me that I'd promised her I'd take photos of the amazing Tokyo Drift poster she made. So I decided to fool around with the Photo Booth feature on my work computer. (Yes, trinityofone = Best Employee Ever. In my defense, my boss already left for his vacation—on Tuesday.)

I'd had the poster rolled in a tube (I'd put it up on my office wall were it not for that pesky reference to teh buttsecks in the story), so unfortunately it kept curling in on my hands.

As you can tell, I really took a lot of time and care with my hair this morning.



This was about the point I realized how ridiculous this was (and that somebody could walk by my office at any moment):

Unrelated: someone on sgastoryfinders was looking for a story where Cadman's a Slayer. Now, I have not read said story, if it exists, but...wouldn't it actually be kind of awesome if someone wrote a story where Cadman was a Slayer (or Teyla, but Cadman's got the snarky blonde thing going on), and Rodney was her crotchety Watcher, and John, of course, would have to be the broody besouled vampire (although really my preference was for Spike, so can we adopt the cool coat maybe?) who, in a shocking turn of events, falls for Rodney instead of Laura? Because he's gay. I MISS THE GAY VAMPIRES, PEOPLE.

And yet...as crackish as this is, it's still not as awesomely nutty as sdraevn's suggestion of The Daily Show with John Sheppard. SO COOL. Sadly, I wouldn't even know where to start figuring out how to write that. Suggestions?

Teyla as Cordelia is...so wrong, and yet so right? I mean, the visions...that's kind of like having psychic Wraith powers, right? Can Michael be the Angel counterpart in this? Is Ronon Gunn? And Zelenka Wesley? OW MY HEAD.

(Secretly, I think I'd enjoy bitchy S1-S3 Teyla-Cordelia most.)

And that would be totally okay with Laura, because she's got kind of a crush on her geeky, botanist best friend, Katie. And Ford would, of course, be the Xander of the group. When Laura dies briefly, another slayer is called, which would be where Teyla shows up.

And then, of course, Vala would be the Faith-analog....

Um. I may be totally thinking about this too much. Time to get back to my Yuletide pinch hit. *koff*

Oh my God, this sounds really contrived, but I swear it happened: just now, my browser crashed, right after I read the line "Cadman's a slayer", and while I was rebooting, I was thinking to myself: "Oh my God, Rodney should be her brilliant angry Watcher, and John should be a hot snarky vampire with a leather coat." Fannish Hivemind, yo.

I'd kind of rather Teyla was the Slayer, just because... um, I like her? I would enjoy her reactions to John's sexy vampire flirting and Rodney's Giles-on-speed flailing?

Hee! When I saw the subject of sdraevn's post, my mind went to some kind of futurefic where the SG program has been declassified, and Sheppard is asked onto the show to talk about it. Because hello, John being interviewed by John Stewart would be all kinds of win. (Uh, I actually considered writing something along those lines for Heroes once, with Nathan Petrelli instead? But then I realised that I am tragically unable to write anything at all TDS-related, alas.)
