Non-con means non-consensual sex of some sort. honestly, I doubt it's likely to be an issue here, I'm hard-pressed to imagine anyone wanting to write Rodney/Teyla non-con, but the trick is always to cover your bases with something like that.

*secretly says a prayer that there will be no non-con, and not even anything on the squickier side of AMTDI*

Yeah. I mean if it's what someone wants and someone else wants to write, then more power to them, but it's not really something I'm hoping to see.

I actually enjoy well done dubious consent stuff sometimes, but Rodney/Teyla is my happy place couple and I just don't have any interest in torturing them that way.

I wish I could remember who made the really interesting post about why dubious consent strikes more people as creepy when it's a man and a woman, rather than two men. (It don't think two women were mentioned at all, and I don't read enough femslash to know how often it comes up, but how people perceive that would be interesting, too.) I mean, personally I don't like any fic where either participant seems all that reluctant once the actual sexin' starts, but I'll admit that m/f dubious consent makes me more uncomfortable than m/m fic like that, hypocritical as that may be. Hmm.

But also, yes: I prefer only happy things for Rodney and Teyla! It's hard enough getting them together; after that, I feel it should be smooth sailing. *g*

You should give it a shot! It'll be fun, and hey, ficathons were how I got started writing in fandom regularly. It's good for you! *g*
