Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am leaving my position as an Associate Editor with [Magazine] on March 21.
Thank you for the opportunities you have provided me during my time with the magazine. I feel that I have learned a lot, both about magazine publishing and the entertainment industry in general.

If the work place was making you miserable, it was really down to a choice of making other people happy or yourself. I think you made the right choice.
