The one problem with this Bulwer-Lytton thing? The actual first sentences of the actual ficlets one is trying to write start to sound instead like entries for the contest.

Making a joke about bad '70s television right off the bat probably isn't helping matters...

I had to stop working on this fic-thing (admittedly meant to be somewhat crackish, but...) because after reading everyone's hilarious entries, I just can't take myself seriously.
