True Blood question

Does the pilot actually end with Sookie getting beaten up in the parking lot? The version I downloaded was glitchy and missing a couple scenes, and it cut off abruptly at the end. I can't help but wondering—was that it? It seemed...well, abrupt.

Not a bad pilot overall, though. I am intrigued! Confused, but intrigued. ;-)

If the missing scenes were the ones of Sookie and Bill outside, then that was the version I saw as well. Apparently the pilot does end there, but some changes (like recasting the actress who played Tara) have apparently been made.

Yup, that's the one. What a weird place to end it. Also, I wonder why they decided to recast Tara—I kind of liked her sarcastic self. (If they were gonna recast anybody, they should probably have tried to not have Sookie's brother and her boss be played be two actors who look so much alike!) Now I kind of want to track down the newer version and see how different it is.

I found her kind of bewilderingly angry so I think it was a pretty good idea to recast. I agree about the Jason/Sam casting though, the two really do look very similar.
