Went to a party at E's last night with L, B, N, R, & K. E made Bloody Marys, which I had never had before: they taste kind of like mildly alcoholic cold tomato soup. I don't get it. We also messed around with E's new Wii. On the plus side: I am the motherfucking Wii hula-hooping champ. On the minus: L may have gotten video of my performance. *glances nervously at YouTube*

The highpoint, however, definitely came when we decided to play a skiing game that featured Downhill Slalom.

L: Isn't that a Jewish word?
Everyone: Huh?
L: Slalom. Like for hi or something.
Me (the party's sole resident Jew): You mean Shalom?
L: What? They're not the same?
Me: *falls off the couch laughing*
K: Quote of the night!

And indeed it was.

I feel I should mention, siriaeve has gotten me completely addicted to this song: I Still Remember by Bloc Party. I used it as a prompt and anna_luna drew this amazing picture. Now y'all need to listen/look and write us happy fic so I we can stop listening to this song over and over and dying of delicious bittersweet sadness.

Haha, no. This was much more abstract: you had to roll balls balanced on tilting platforms into holes without them falling off. The quicker you completed each level, the more time you'd have for the next one. I kept getting stuck on this stupid level shaped like a letter S.
