L.A. people! I'm really excited about this contest we're holding in which you can win free tickets to the Swedish movie version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which was my favorite book last year. Enter the contest here--it's running for the next 24 hours.
You can also watch this video of me being a dork about books here.
I will stop spamming you now.

Date: 2010-03-30 02:01 am (UTC)You might well enjoy Sayers, though, especially the ones that feature Peter and Harriet. There's a lot of hinky class issues that you would delight in unpacking, I think, but also a lot of Harriet being an awesome female character while the two of them wear fabulous clothing and quote classic literature at one another. :D

Date: 2010-03-30 02:08 am (UTC)And! Because of you I found the courage to read Stieg Larsson's books -- they sounded so violent that I was hesitant. But you were right; they're brilliant. I literally couldn't put them down. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the release of the third. (Did you read where he had ten planned?)
Thank you!
