Indeed!

(Randomly, the very first Very Big Rock Show I went to was U2 (the Z00 TV Outside Broadcast Tour) -- they've never been a big favorite of mine, but that was quite an experience!)

Oh, wow! You saw ZOOTV? I am soooooooooo jealous!

But also excited! And bouncy! And looking forward to buying overpriced t-shirts!

I did -- I was a sophomore in high school, and my little eyes were wide like saucers!

And looking forward to buying overpriced t-shirts!

Which is so totally part of the experience as well! I think I may still have the shirt I bought, it was too small for me then, it must be miniscule now.

No.

Not, "No, I fucking hate you"--"No, I already gave them to somebody else." But still.

Ha! to him though! I'm going, I'm going for free, and I'm going the day before he is! Booya!

What can I say, I have the touch. Meaning, "I sent their promoter an e-mail." I guess for the time being he's no longer Mr. Asshole.

Yeah, I was just telling [livejournal.com profile] nenar that I'm going to have to stop calling him that. Especially in the thank you e-mail I just sent him.

Oh, you are so lucky! We tried to buy them for DC, but they were all sold out within minutes.

What did you do to get them?

Well, I work at a newspaper, and publicity people are supposed to supply us with free tickets so we can review their shows. However, we're just a college paper, so we're often left out. The same guy who just bestowed the gift of all gifts upon me screwed me out of White Stripes tickets two years ago. But I suppose I can stop hating him now.

I'm sorry you weren't able to get tickets. Have you ever seen them live? If you haven't, you should keep trying in the future--it is so worth the hassle. But then, I'm a Big Scary Fangirl.

No, I haven't seen them live :(

I have a list: Tori Amos, U2, Matthew Good, Our Lady Peace...and a few others. All people I haven't/want to see live.

Of course, I worked at a concert hall for 7 summers and saw ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE EVER live, so I guess I can't complain too much. :)
