1. Boys, boys, boys. If you don't want me to slash you (and honestly, it was not my intent) then you really need to stop eyefucking. By which I mean: never, ever stop eyefucking. Never.

2. The latest episode? The scene at the curry restaurant? And, like, basically the whole ep? So. Much. Love.

3. Only one more episode? Man. They're cruel, these short little British seasons.

4. Hunt is totally hot. Sometimes I disgust myself, but mostly I just really weird myself out.

Psst! Downloads on [livejournal.com profile] uk_telly. Hopefully still.

Life on Mars!!!

There desperately needs to be fanfiction for that.

Is there any?

Frankly, I'm sort of afraid. I always have a weird adjustment period with new fandoms. Sort of a "I'm reading what? About who?" But then I get over it. *g*

You must, MUST let me know if you stumble over anything good. And vice versa. ;-)

So far I haven't seen any fic (and if I wasn't drowning in my own works in progress, I would have started writing the moment Sam handcuffed himself to Guv, because OMGHANDCUFFS)

I'll definitely let the world know when I see any good stuff about Life on Mars :D You'll hear my screams off joy.

[livejournal.com profile] daraq pointed me to [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973. There does appear to be fic there, but I'm too afraid to click on any of it, 'cause like I said, adjustment period. *feels silly* But, uh, if you feel so inclined, I expect you'll report back with the good stuff. ;-)

The handcuff possibilities ABOUND in this fandom. Something must be done. *eg*

1. Sigh. I too never intended to think a single slashy thought about Tyler and Hunt, but somehow they snuck in there anyway.

2. Haven't seen the latest epi yet *bounces excitedly*

3. I'm biting my fingernails over the end of the series.

4. Tyler has really lovely eyes. (And sometines I agree with you about Hunt.)

1. They just spend so much time gazing steamily into each other's eyes! Or...or tussling! Plus, there's that violent disagreement-->mutual understanding arc that almost every episode seems to follow. *glee*

2. It's up on [livejournal.com profile] uk_telly! Three YSI links, so hopefully one's still running.

3. Eight episodes is not enough. I mean, I just started watching, and it ends next week!

4. Tyler does have lovely eyes. But I'm less surprised by my "mmm, pretty" reaction there: I like skinny Brits. Hunt, OTOH...is actually not that surprising either, to be honest. I mean: snarky, accent, bit of dick, shoves people around on a regular basis. I'm easy. *g*

Life on Mars! I <3 it so. Partly because it amuses me to play 'spot the places I know in Manchester, including - hey that's my old house!' but mostly because it has that 70's buddy cop slash vibe.

You know it has been given a second season, right?

I love the "spot the..." game. I get to play a lot of it, being from L.A. But Manchester is so exotic to me. ;-)

Holy crap, does it ever. And honest to God, I came to the bloody thing with a totally gen mindset! Thinking pure thoughts, even!

No, but yaaaaaay! What's the gap, usually, on UK shows? Your crazy television, it is so different. *g*

Your icon, like Rodney, is totally teh sex.

Ahahahaha! Well, as an expat, Manchester was pretty exotic to me but I've been living there for three years now, which is about the longest I live anywhere, so I'm already champing at the bit to move elsewhere (I'd curse my parents but I'm glad they installed such itchy feet in me). As i'd vais earlier, if you find yourself in Manc in the next three months, let me know. I can probably do a bit of a LoM tour. :g:

I almost fell off my chair when I saw the first epiusode though because where he gets hit? Is right outside my old house. If only I'd stayed in it longer than I did! Damn kids and my ptsd! I could have seen them filming!

Holy crap, does it ever. And honest to God, I came to the bloody thing with a totally gen mindset! Thinking pure thoughts, even!

See, me? I came into with expecting some sort of slash but then I've been around in fandom for 9 years now, so I'm kinda preconditioned to cop shows = slash. Professionals, Starsky and Hutch, The Bill...

The next series won't be until next year, I think. The beeb is kinda like that. We don't have the same sort of 20-24 ep series thing on the Beeb, they tend to do 8-12 eps and then about 6 or so months until the next season, if it gets one. The dvds are normally out soon though.

I hate it when great shows have very limited seasons..it's like, make more please!!!*smile*

I'm loving "Hustle" right now, it's just starting the second season here...and that one only has six episodes a season.

I was hoping that Life on Mars would at least last me through until Doctor Who starts, which in turn was supposed to last me through 'til there's more SGA...I'm so needy.

What's Hustle about?

I know that here, Dr. Who starts around the time that SG:A ends for the season, so it won't be too bad.

And Hustle, I write about it pretty much every Monday..and today too..it's about a group of Con Artists that have these really intricate cons..it's extremely well written and intelligent. I love it!

It's also made by the same production company as Life on Mars, Kudos, as is Spooks and they share writers and directors too.

Mmm, television.

It's a combination time travel/cop show on the BBC, just finishing its eight-episode run. This (http://www.bbc.co.uk/drama/lifeonmars/) is the official site. It's a lot of fun, very mysterious, and like most '70s cop shows (see time travel element) it's kinda gay. ;-)

Brilliant show: I missed last Monday so I'm going to record this evening's as well and watch them in order.

My favourite Gene line is when he tells the kids watching his car to make sure nothing happens to it or he'll come and stamp on all their toys.

And yes, the short season is annoying... but part of me says it means they can try out a pretty wacky idea like this without committing to a really long run which might flog it to death. That said, I'll be interested to see what they come up with for the second season.
