I GOT A JOB! I GOT THE JOB!

I wasn't supposed to hear until tomorrow, but they called me today! I got it! Starting tomorrow, I am the Junior Editor (capitalization makes it seem more important) at a relatively well-known magazine about the entertainment industry. I am both a) thrilled, and b) absolutely terrified. I hope I can be good at this. I really want to be good at this.

Anyway, I am now officially employed! I've worked in some capacity since the 6th grade, but this is my first real job. I can't believe it!

I don't really know what to say. *flails a bit*

Oh, God. Does this make me an adult?

Woo! Congrats to you, too! Are you there yet? Are you settling in? Myself, I am only supposed to do a half day today, so I am instead throwing myself around my apartment, panicking.

yes! In fact am work now & replying from the Treo they GAVE me! (What were they thinking?) Am a bit jealous of your half day - hope it's going well! :)

Am here now, on my lunch break. Was also given a computer (although not my very own yet)--clearly, this was a mistake. It's not too scary so far--I wrote something very dumb about actresses and their dogs, and filled out paperwork.

How are you doing? What is the very exciting-sounding thing called a Treo? *dumb*

Day One complete - not yet fired!

A Treo - I learned this morning - is a sort of a Blackberry-like thing? It's a cell phone on Wraith enzyme, essentially: you can take pictures with it, and play on the internet, email, etc. Might even say that *I* could do these things, except that I don't really know how to - and that I haven't yet filed my thumbnail down to the exact thickness necessary to operate the scroll bar on the touchpad.

Clearly a situation that calls for Lee press on nails!

You know, you can tell a lot about an actress by her dog(s). *nods sagely* ;)

Home now - whee!
