I just bought a ticket to Pegasus 2 even though 1) it's in England, 2) it's expensive, and 3) I have no idea if I will be allowed to take time off work. But [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve, [livejournal.com profile] randomeliza, and [livejournal.com profile] megolas are going! And I desperately want to see them, and I really, really miss Europe. Maybe I'm only freaking out about the purchase because I'm not used to really buying myself stuff or spending money not on food. (Or rent. Or, okay, books.)

But:

1. David Hewlett
2. I've never been to a con before!
3. David Hewlett!
4. Friendses!
5. DAVID 'THE AWESOME' HEWLETT!

So...who else is going?

In other news, I went up to Berkeley this weekend and thus am even more out of the loop than normal. What's going on? Did people like 'Progeny'? I'm tired. Can I take a nap now?

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] looking4tarzan started a comm for people going to Pegasus 2: [livejournal.com profile] peg2con. *runs off to join*

Brian. Duh.

More con squee in a minute, after I call this guy at Tesla Motors. But I wanted to answer that question first. *g*

Well, it's a very important question. I mean, she hasn't seen many episodes with Ronon, so she doesn't know how submissive he can be towards those who deserve his submission (which Brian totally would) but... yes. What was I saying?

*sigh* Someone really needs to write that. I have no idea how they'd meet, but my god, it would be pretty. *looks at you pleadingly*

Go call Tesla! Then come squee!

OMG SQUEE!

I can't wait to see you. You and DAVID HEWLETT, omg.

Brian Kinney should arrive on Atlantis like the Frenchman in that Eddie Izzard bit. "Hello, my name is Brian. I am here to have sex with your family."

Ask them if they need test drivers! You know, real world usage patterns and what not. Ok, so I just want the renewable fuel and bottomless torque.

Have fun in England! I don't know much about cons, except everyone I know who goes to them says they are a blast, so I'm sure you'll have a great time. And, uh...David Hewlet. I'm using that as a verb, by the way. The implied action is at your discresion. ;)

Oh, you've heard of the Roadster? Pretty sweet, huh? They must be swarmed with press requests right now, though; they're taking forever to get back to me.

If only David Hewlett didn't seem so VERY HAPPY with his girlfriend, I would start practicing getting my slut on now. Oh well. *sigh*

Yeah, I've been known to get information from some of the nerdier places on the internet, so I heard about the roadster...about a month ago. Ish. I'm a big fan of alternate fuel vehicles. The Tesla looks like it could be practical. It's already got useful range, and they essentially get free R&D because they use laptop batteries. Once the price comes down, and they make a sedan...well, it could be very positive.

The con is months from now. Things could go south. There' still hope!
