I just wrote the most disturbing sex scene ever. I guess I'm feeling better.

Gonna try to jump back into the LJ thing now. To start with, some random messages:

[livejournal.com profile] psychopepsquad: The other day, I saw Cinderella Man and before it, there were previews for two dumb horror movies and the new, stupid-looking, Kiera Knightley-starring Pride & Prejudice. I missed you so much! And I've got more Chambers for you if you like.

[livejournal.com profile] nenar: It was great seeing you the other day. Better than Xanax, Vicoden, and all my other meds combined.

[livejournal.com profile] dizzyditz and [livejournal.com profile] spazatron: Thank you both for calling me. You were both wonderfully diverting, and I miss you.

[livejournal.com profile] lordelessar: Thanks for the offer of goodies. Totally unnecessary...but then again, I wouldn't say no. ;-)

[livejournal.com profile] ilgattopardo: I think I forgot to say, but YES, I definitely want to meet up if we are in Ireland at the same time.

[livejournal.com profile] tzeentch: Can I be Jack's godmother? Or at least his wacky aunt?

[livejournal.com profile] darcydodo: Still owe you dinner.

[livejournal.com profile] mciac: I'm here! I'm no longer unconscious and/or heavily medicated! I want to see you!

[livejournal.com profile] writethisway folks: I suck. I'm sorry.

Love to everyone else.

Sent it. Thank you. So much.

I miss you, too. I'm going to try to come up and visit at least once before I leave and I'd be ecstatic if you and Jet were to come down here. We'd feed you and hug you and squeeze you and call you George. ;-)

I want to see you, too, so that I can take you out to a proper cocktail lounge like you wanted for your birthday. :)

Well, I don't think I'm allowed to drink alcohol yet, but I'd still love to hang out!

Am I the only one hung up on this? What made the sex scene disturbing? Pairing? Actions? What?

Nope, not the only one. Those were my thoughts exactly. Do tell.

I'll give you a hint: it involved the word "circumsised." As a verb.

I'm torn between the gruesomeness of your post, and the awesomeness of your icon.

Don't fret: it was only a metaphor. In actuality, the scene's psychologically disturbing more than physically.

And yes, my icon kicks the ass. ;-)

Still owe you dinner.

You do? Well, I guess I'll just have to collect on that, then! ;)

(Or do you mean at your house, which really can be whenever, so long as we're both in LA.)

At my house. Which, when my mom goes full out, is better than a restaurant, believe me. ;-)

I'm sure of it. :) And I'm definitely going to take you up on that dinner offer eventually. However, most annoyingly, I think it will have to be all the way into August. You will still be home, right?

I'm here until the last week of September. And while August seems a long way off ::sniff:: at least it'll give you time to think if there's anything you want to request. *g*

Cool. That will be much fun, although I don't know exactly when I'll be in Ireland or for how long yet. Anyway, something to look forward to.

You're clearly up and and about, no longer unconscious and/or heavily medicated, so this is very good news! I noticed you're having lunch today (probably even as I type) with [livejournal.com profile] mciac, which I'm sure will be a suitable treat following your recent ordeal.

It was! As shall meetings-up in exciting locales be! I've always wanted to be one of those people who runs into old friends while strolling through the Himalayas... Come, join my divorce from reality!

I know the feeling! Since I've been playing a wandering scholar for the last ten years, I've got used to the idea of meeting people from another compartment of my life in the "wrong" place (friends from Belfast and some of my Irish cousins in Berkeley; friends from Berkeley in London; friends from Turkey in Greece; friends from Oxford in New York or L.A.). But it never gets old.

By the way, I believe the correct way to express an affirmative response in the place you're going to (soon) is: "yes I said yes I will yes." Just to remind you.
