Sneaking on at work to tell you about today's incredibly creeping Angst offering at mcshep_match. What Dreams May Come is short but far from sweet: it's an intensely disturbing look at Rodney stripped of what makes him Rodney, told in a deceptively simple but shockingly effective first person POV. This story is like a punch to the gut, but it doesn't let you wallow in pain on the floor after you've been hit. There's a glimmer of hope--which just makes the whole thing more wrenching.

:P You know I really want to cheer for team angst, because I'm totally your groupie... and have been making a valiant effort so far to read the angsty fics... but your summary just scared me away from the story! I like my fanfics fluffy and sweet! And with a happy ending!

Also, the "cantina" drawing is almost done... with all five of the characters you requested! OMG, this drawing is taking *forever*! I both hate and love you for that prompt!

I hope you like it:) This is the kind of story which makes me think about bigger things, what it's like to be a woman, how much your body impacts on who you are, the nature of sex and love. And you dealt with it all so well. You had John, Rodney and Cadman (but mostly the latter two) figure things out and have these little revelations sneak up on them in an organic kind of way. It was all very natural and flowing and I really do love this story so thank you so much for letting me do this:)
