I have finally cracked under the pressure of [livejournal.com profile] siriaeve's...well, logic, and gotten a del.icio.us account. Over the next few days, I'm planning to go through and start tagging my favorite SGA fics. I have 90 marked so far, so if you've ever felt that you've been desperately in need of SGA recs by [livejournal.com profile] trinityofone, go here! Your day has come!

Mostly I'm just marking things I really like, for whatever reason. I don't think I'm being especially original about it, although I am rather proud of the mypersonalcanon tag, which is where I'm going to put things that ping me in that this should be/would be hilarious as/IS canon way. (What? That's a way!) Five stories in there so far; more, I hope, to come.

And in there spirit of reccing, here's one direct-to-LJ, by way of [livejournal.com profile] luthien:

In the Jumper Bay by [livejournal.com profile] damerel

This is this writer's first SGA fic, and let me tell you, I am so excited for more. It's hilarious and hot McKay/Sheppard from, shall we say, a unique perspective. Check it out!

Finally, because I am easily entertained, [livejournal.com profile] notpoetry (re)started the meme where you comment with what's in your paste buffer. Apple (or ctrl, you crazy PC people) + v. I have:

A lighter. Leftover and dusty on the bookshelf.

*winks at [livejournal.com profile] amireal*

So...what have you naughty people been copying?

"the advertisement's claims have been elongated" (Exaggerated)

A quote from one of the gcse english exams I marked today. Oh gods. The word in the brackets is what I gather they actually wanted to say from my own reading of the sentence.

And yay! :adds you to my inbox:

My clipboard:

I'm so hot for the rich girl
Her heels so high, and my hopes so low
'Cause I don't know how to love

I'll take her home after midnight
And if she likes, I'll tell her lies
How we'll be in love by the morning

I don't think she knows
That I'm saying good bye

I suppose I should have expected you'd already read them, seeing as how you rock.

Hmm, that's in mine. :)

I was just looking at my del.icio.us inbox and noticed about a million (well, 90) tags by you. This explains things!

It's part of a tag from a fic I'm co-writing... and not a very exciting snippet at that, given that we're writing smut. LOL.

Anyhow, one of my absolute favourite things about delicious is the inbox - I pull tags from various places and create a live bookmark, so that when I want a quick rec, I can flip through and see if there's anything I haven't read before.

Mine's a poem by FJ Bergman:

Gender Characteristics
so we had a few drinks
and I was telling him stuff about
my childhood and after a while he said
that sounds like penis envy to me did you
ever wish you had a penis and I said no
but I wish I had an ovipositor so I could
parasitize my enemies and infest them
with my larvae and he decided
to sit somewhere else
in a different bar.

If I pressed ctr + v now, you'd get 4.000 words of your ficlet, completely unbetaed and riddled with spelling errors. In other words, I hate you lots.

If I had pressed that combination five minutes ago, you'd have gotten your own fic, As Well as Valor, which I have just copied into Word for easy saving. Somehow, the contents of my paste buffer never seem short enough to actually fit a comment box.

It's from the summary or a Fraser/Ray fic that I'm reading called "Hawks and Hands" and I think is a reference to another F/K fic called "How Ray Got His Groove Back"

And thanks for the rec list! I can't get me enough of that John/Rodney lovin'. :D

*shakes head* Oh, no. Whatever else it is, it's not logic. I add you to my inbox regardless, because more recs are always good, yes indeedy.

Apple + V= "John's never really liked cities. If he'd ever stopped to think about it, he might have found that odd; he was an air force brat, after all. He was born in the middle of a bustling military base in Japan, lived in seven different cities spread scattershot all over the world by the time he was fifteen; started elementary school in Munich and skipped AP history in New York. He'd grown up with noise and crowds and motion, grown used to slipping his way through crowds on the sidewalk and tuning out the background chatter and buzz. On the few occasions that fieldtrips or visits to his grandparents brought him out to the countryside, the old, watchful quiet of the countryside tended to unnerve him."

Which is the product of me re-arranging something that may or may not be a John/Atlantis thing. We shall see.

Not even remotely related to anything here, but I wanted to tell you that I met a woman who provided security for James Marsters in Australia once and claims to have helped teach him how to correctly pronounce the word "poofta" (sometimes spelled "poofter"). She has a pic of him biting her as Spike, and of her biting him back. ;)
