Recs and things
Apr. 10th, 2006 10:23 pmI have finally cracked under the pressure of
siriaeve's...well, logic, and gotten a del.icio.us account. Over the next few days, I'm planning to go through and start tagging my favorite SGA fics. I have 90 marked so far, so if you've ever felt that you've been desperately in need of SGA recs by
trinityofone, go here! Your day has come!
Mostly I'm just marking things I really like, for whatever reason. I don't think I'm being especially original about it, although I am rather proud of the mypersonalcanon tag, which is where I'm going to put things that ping me in that this should be/would be hilarious as/IS canon way. (What? That's a way!) Five stories in there so far; more, I hope, to come.
And in there spirit of reccing, here's one direct-to-LJ, by way of
luthien:
In the Jumper Bay by
damerel
This is this writer's first SGA fic, and let me tell you, I am so excited for more. It's hilarious and hot McKay/Sheppard from, shall we say, a unique perspective. Check it out!
Finally, because I am easily entertained,
notpoetry (re)started the meme where you comment with what's in your paste buffer. Apple (or ctrl, you crazy PC people) + v. I have:
A lighter. Leftover and dusty on the bookshelf.

So...what have you naughty people been copying?

Date: 2006-04-11 10:34 am (UTC)Apple + V= "John's never really liked cities. If he'd ever stopped to think about it, he might have found that odd; he was an air force brat, after all. He was born in the middle of a bustling military base in Japan, lived in seven different cities spread scattershot all over the world by the time he was fifteen; started elementary school in Munich and skipped AP history in New York. He'd grown up with noise and crowds and motion, grown used to slipping his way through crowds on the sidewalk and tuning out the background chatter and buzz. On the few occasions that fieldtrips or visits to his grandparents brought him out to the countryside, the old, watchful quiet of the countryside tended to unnerve him."
Which is the product of me re-arranging something that may or may not be a John/Atlantis thing. We shall see.
