First, thank you so so much to everyone who wished me congratulations or best wishes on my new job. The first day went pretty well, although I'm mostly too zonked to write about it in detail. Suffice to say, I could do well to open a running tally:

But now--on to the truly important question!

What should I name Rodney's horse?

I know, I know--me and horses tend to make for a worrisome fic combo, but I'm trying my best to finish my reel_sga fic, and as I'm adapting The Searchers, this issue cannot be avoided. So...any thoughts on the name of Rodney's equine? Or, for that matter, Cadman's?

The mutual flailing is not as satisfying when we're on other continents! Suffice to say: gah. I am beating my head off my knees with a surprising amount of force.

Especially since, you know. Things the college shouldn't do: release the results for the single honour history course a day earlier, but have me misread the page title and think it's the results for the joint honours course, and then make me have a heart attack *and* an aneurysm because of course my name isn't on the list and I think I failed everything spectacularly.

And now I've had a row with my dad and really. Just. I suck with a spectacular amount of force, I do. *close to crying*

You don't suck! I'm so sorry you're having a hard time, and waiting is the worst thing ever. But you'll feel a lot better in a few hours' time, I'm sure of it.

I have to go to bed now because I have to get up spectacularly early tomorrow (although really, not too much earlier than you're up, it seems). But when I wake, I'm sure it'll be to find you've had good news!
